Supermodel Skincare Rules
Have you wondered how models keep their skin flawless despite the fact that they constantly have to put so much stress on their skin? We did too - so we created guidelines based on inputs from them! Applying these techniques will help improve the health, texture, and youthfulness of your skin!
The first Supermodel skincare rules deal with properly cleansing the skin! Models frequently have to apply makeup so it is extremely important that when they are removing their makeup that they are giving their pores and skin a proper chance to breath! Not only is this the best way to prevent breakouts, but it creates a more absorbent surface for maximizing skincare products.
Double cleansing is a technique in which you first wash your face with an oil-based cleanser followed by a water-based cleanser. The oil-based cleanser will break down and makeup or dirt sitting at the surface of our skin while the water-based cleanser will address your particular skin type or concern and should have ingredients to hydrate, smooth or exfoliate and treat acne.
Massage like a Pro
Supermodels understand the importance of a facial massage, and we don’t mean facials. It may sound like a lot of effort but in reality, it takes two minutes and the benefits are unreal. By simply applying a small amount of pressure in a sweeping motion you will stimulate blood flow, decongest your skin, reduce the appearance of fine line and wrinkles, etc. Here are some skincare tools that celebrities like Priyanka Chopra rave about and never travel without:
Applies micro-vibration technology to stimulate facial muscles in order to firm skin and improve skin texture. (Reduce wrinkles and fine lines, unclogs dirt, improves skin texture, workout for your face – tightens your skin, produces collagen and elastin)
Improves blood flow + increases collagen production & skin elasticity. Relieves facial muscles + makes your beauty products work better. Detoxifies the body by stimulating lymphatic drainage. Prevents fluid retention and decreases puffy under eyes. (Google)
Always Travel with a Facial Mist
One of the keys to maintaining a healthy moisture level is creating a balanced moisture routine. Think about this - you drink water throughout the day when you get thirsty and it’s typically pretty easy to tell when you’re thirsty because your mouth gets dry. Our skin functions the same way, except, the signs aren’t quite as obvious to us. If you have dry skin your skin will continue to dry out throughout the day, and if you have oily skin it will only make your skin oilier. Applying a mist periodically throughout the day will help you maintain balanced moisture levels preventing your skin from drying out or getting too oily thought the day!
